How old do you have to be to drive a Coastal Carts golf cart?

Drivers must be at least 18 years old to operate a Coastal Carts golf cart. All drivers must provide a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and sign a rental agreement before operating the cart.

Where can Coastal Carts golf carts be rented or used?

Coastal Carts proudly serves the Seagrove Beach, Grayton Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and 30A area.

At this time, we are not able to rent golf carts to guests staying in Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, or WaterColor.

Golf carts may be driven to visit certain nearby 30A communities, including Seaside, Seacrest Beach, and Watersound, as long as all local rules, road signs, parking regulations, and community guidelines are followed. However, rental approval is based on where the cart will be delivered, stored, and primarily used during your stay.

Please note that some neighborhoods, resorts, HOAs, and private communities have their own golf cart restrictions. Guests are responsible for confirming that golf carts are allowed at their rental property or community before booking.

Coastal Carts reserves the right to cancel or decline any rental that falls outside our approved service area or violates local or community golf cart rules.

What do I need to rent a golf cart?

To rent a golf cart, you will need a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a signed rental agreement. Coastal Carts also requires a copy of the driver’s license for the rental record.

Are pets allowed on the golf carts?

No. Pets are not allowed on Coastal Carts golf carts. This helps keep our carts clean, safe, and ready for every guest.

What should I do if there is an emergency or cart problem?e

If there is an emergency or issue with your cart, please pull over safely and call Coastal Carts at 850-461-8945. If needed, signal another driver for help and always move to a safe location before contacting us.

Can I tow another cart or vehicle?

No. Do not tow another cart, vehicle, trailer, or any other object with your rental golf cart. Towing is not allowed and can create safety risks or damage the cart.

What should I do when I am not using the cart?

When the cart is not in use, shut off the engine, remove the key, and park it safely. Please do not leave the cart running or unattended with the key inside.

What happens if the oil warning light comes on?

If the oil warning light comes on, stop using the cart immediately and call Coastal Carts at 850-461-8945. Continuing to drive the cart could cause damage or create a safety issue.

Can someone else drive the cart during my rental?

Only approved and properly documented drivers may operate the cart. Do not allow anyone to drive the cart unless they meet the rental requirements and have been properly documented.

What safety rules should drivers follow?

All drivers should use defensive driving, look both ways, watch their fuel level, follow posted road signs, and obey all traffic laws. Please operate the cart responsibly and follow all rules and regulations set by local police and authorities.

Do I need to keep my driver’s license with me?

Yes. Drivers should keep a copy of their driver’s license with them while operating the cart and be prepared to provide it if requested by local authorities.
